Mutual Support was incorporated in 1982 as a non-profit corporation registered in the Province of Ontario, Canada. The corporate vision is based on the concept of providing family based care for children who require the structure and support normally only available in staff model institutional settings.
The current Administrative Team assumed management of the corporation in January 1988. This Team assumed a cooperative and progressive approach to program design and development. This involved a major restructuring of both business management and treatment philosophies and practices through an on-going consultative planning process. The Admin Team has retained professional and consulative services on a long term basis in all specialized aspects of the business and clinical process. These include the following:
